DECENTRALIZED 2019

DECENTRALIZED is Europe’s premier conference on blockchain and digital currencies. The 2019 edition will bring together the world’s leading business executives, academics and technical experts to debate current trends and future developments across three distinct tracks: Business, Technology and Academia, engaging with the impact and applications of blockchain and digital currencies, as well as their convergence with exciting emerging technologies such as AI.
DECENTRALIZED 2019 will feature speakers from around the world, as well top-tier companies as sponsors and exhibitors, presenting their innovative products and services. Among this year’s Keynote Speakers are: Dr. W. Scott Stornetta, considered one of the “fathers” of Blockchain, three times referenced in Satoshi Nakamoto’s original Bitcoin design paper; Dr. Adam Back, inventor of hashcash and Co-founder/CEO of Blockstream; Silvio Schembri, Minister for Financial Services, Digital Economy and Innovation within the Office of the Prime Minister of Malta; Bill Barhydt, Founder and CEO of Abra, the world’s first global investment app; Perianne Boring, Founder and President of the Chamber of Digital Commerce.
In addition to the main conference, DECENTRALIZED 2019 will feature two full-day pre-conference educational events: (a) The Corda Bootcamp, co-organised by R3, for those who want to learn about the Corda blockchain platform, as well as blockchain engineers who aspire to develop their own Corda application (CorDapp); and (b) The Hyperledger Workshop, co-organised by Hyperledger, providing hands-on experience on the world’s most popular open source enterprise blockchain platform.
DECENTRALIZED 2019 is powered by the Institute For the Future (IFF) at the University of Nicosia, the leading global provider of education and research in blockchain and cryptocurrencies, and BitShares - the world's fastest industrial-grade blockchain platform and eco-system.
